Our four year old is really good at remembering people and places. From her car seat in the back of my car, she can tell you the way to the grocery store, a friend's house, and of course - Walmart.
For the times that she doesn't quite remember someone she has developed a series of questions to help her recall the person.
Last week at dinner, we were talking about Randy having a friend come spend the night. This boy hasn't been over before, so she was trying to figure out who he was.
"What color is his hair?", she asked thoughtfully.
"What color is his house?", she asked as a follow-up.
As we answered her questions, you could see her trying to narrow down Randy's friends. The next question was another great one, "Who is his mom?"
Randy was doing his best to try and help his sister remember this friend and she finally gave up before the next logical question. "What color is his mom's hair?"
