Gainesville History Lesson

Once we crossed the state line into Florida we saw people really excited to be there.  At the visitor center people gathered around the sign.  They weren't even to the beach yet!
Things have changed since we lived in Florida.  Apparently, the state now closes at 5pm.
One of our first destinations in Florida was to give our kids a history lesson in Gainesville. It was, "Here's where mom worked" and,  "Here's where we had lunch" kind of things.
Then we found the spot along the road where I proposed and we decided to recreate the moment for the kids.

After all that exciting history you can imagine how glad they were to get back into the car.

I dunno. Maybe they're just happy to have a Wi-fi connection on that tablet.
