Chemical Man!

Last week Randy was out playing with a neighbor boy in our yard. When I got up to check on them they were spraying something all over one of my oak trees. I got out there and found they had sprayed a bottle of cleaner on my tree.

Randy and I had a lesson about chemicals in bottles. He now knew that anything in a bottle could melt his skin. Problem solved.

Well, mostly solved. Later that week he was caught with an empty bottle outside. This bottle had been filled with Round-Up. Cari grabbed him up and interrogated the boy. Through her skills learned while watching CSI, she found that Randy sprayed our holly bushes with Round-up.

He didn't learn his lesson. Cari sprayed the hollies with water and today they still look pretty good. Randy got a severe sentence for his continued abuse of chemicals.

All this is happening while I'm trying to be better than the Yankee two doors down.

Good to hear that the victims of Randy's chemical abuse are still doing well.

You really ought to think about selling this tale to as a comercial to promote CSI. Maybe use the profits to purchase new Hollys

A fireman friend of mine told me a story of a kid who sprayed his little brother with "easy off-oven spray", trying to "clean" him, while he was asleep. The only part of his back that wasn't burned (2nd degree) was the part the diaper covered. Those parents lost their kids for a time period for lack of proper supervision. You had better make sure that stuff is put far out of reach and that the kids closely monitored.

Hey DuckNotes..Just ignore the comment from anonymous...I think I may know who it is and they just like to cause trouble. Randy seems to be a darling child with the normal boy curiosities. I am sure you are very careful and responsible with him. Please dont take too much out of what someone that cant even identify themselves has to say.

Ahh . . . better idea! Give your neighbor some "Miracle Gro" that you had extra. Replace "Miracle Gro" with "Roundup".

Heh hehe heheh

Tammy- he said that he thought it was water and he was spraying it on the bees to kill them. He didn't really know what it was and that's why he got in trouble. Spraying unknown stuff on other stuff.

Michelle- I'll have to come up with an entire plot, but I do like watching CSI.

John- the Yankee will take care of himself. It'll be fun watching this summer.

Sorry Tammy..... I don't think we actually do know each other. However, I'm sure that people can think for themselves as to what they want to ignore and not, you don't have to be such a bully. I choose to have a certain anonimity as I value my privacy. Perhaps you could do well to do the same, as I looked at your profile and you certainly have a great deal of valuable personal information on there. It would be way too easy for someone to find out where you live etc.

Anonymous,
I do apologize if I do not know you. I didnt mean any offense. Your comment just sounds very much like someone who has been cyberstalking my boyfriend and I was seeking to protect innocent victims from undue stress from this person's wrath. I am well aware that people can think for themselves and I am NOT a bully. I am just tired of this person interfering where they have been asked several times not to and so now this person's cyber adventures are being tracked by the neccessary authorities is all. Again I apologize if you arent who I thought you were. As for my profile, I have nothing to hide and that information is ver old as I have moved since and all it says is that I live in Calgary. So do 1000000 other people. but never mind that. That is your personal choice. I just believe that if you are going to make a stand on something and scare someone that you should be able to do it with the confidence and self assurance that anonymity does not provide. But that is my opinion.

Hey Duck Notes,

Your kids are adorable and obviously very loving. You and your wife must be doing something right!!!!! Cute shirts above by the way. Where did you get them?

Tammy, sounds like you're a little sensitive there. Perhaps a little paranoid too. Stalking will do that to a perosn. I'm surprised that you would find resources (authorities) to track something so menial. Unless there is some financial hackin' going on.
And, what I meant was that just knowing your full name and that you are from Calgary is enough to go on. You should just not have that much info on there, that's all. I guess we will have to agree to disagree that having confidence in what I say does not mean that I have to announce to the world who I am. People can also prentend to be someone they are not, so really, it's all annonymous if you think of it.

Peace Girl, and I hope that you and your boyfriend finally get some closure.

Actually Anonymous 1, there are no authorities needed to track someone else's internet activity. Every computer is unique and in fact has its own 'Full Name' attached to it. Whenever that person loads up a URL or surfs the web, it leaves a 'fingerprint' which leads back to that person. Anyone can make up a name, but MAC & IP's are specific.

Yes, however, the problem is in proving who is using the computer, see anyone can come to a person's house and use their PC. So you can track things, but it is virtually impossible to prove the individual responsible. Not to mention that IP's are dynamic.

Anonymous said...

IP's are both Static and Dynamic. They can also be hidden using certain software. It's the MAC Address that tracks individuals. MAC's are hard coded into the Network card and are specific to every individual NIC Card. Not one is the same.

If your car is used in a hit and run, the owner of the car is charged unless the person has stated that their car was in fact stolen.

The owner of the PC is responsible for what happens on it and whoever happens to use it.

Do you regularly have anonymous people come in and use your personal computer? I doubt that would happen. Maybe you would do that, but in the current information age, laws are put in place for a reason. Maybe you should research this before you come off as being completely unidentifiable. Anybody can be tracked down using resources that are readily available to most people.

Oh, I totally understand what you are saying and I'm not at all claming to be an expert. I'm just saying that from law enforcement perspective, it's not that easy. With the limited resources of the Feds, it's likely that unless a tech crime is of a fiscal nature, it's not likely to be dealt with by the legal system. Or if it seriously violates some laws. Plus you have all of these information and privacy laws that would limit a persons ability to really find out all that much about a persons identity. But thanks for the information. I feel like I have learned something here today! Thanks Anonymous!
