You Atheist!

Cari and I walked over and met the Atheist and his pregnant wife. Here, I thought she was just fat, but turns out she is pregnant. She is due in October. Only a month off of our baby due in November. Maybe our kid will teach their kid about Jesus.

We stood in their driveway and talked for a little bit. Where do you work, what's your name, kind of thing. The girls talked about the possibility of shopping together. We told them about some of the other neighbors on the block, including the unfriendly Yankees two doors to the other side of us.

They both seemed friendly. . . considering that he is an Atheist.

That whole first paragraph was very funny, thanks for the laugh. You'll have to see if she's up for having a combined baby shower at your church. The Jesus light definitely needs to go in a window that faces their house.

Now how do you know that he is an athiest?

It was very nice of you to restrain the urge to stone him, or put a bible on his head and yell "devil let him go!" I applaud you. :-)

I swear if I ever meet you or Aileen in "real life," I'd never stop laughing.

I noticed you said "HE" is an athiest...what about her?

Hmmmm...she's fat and only 1 month more pregnant than your better half....I leave the rest unspoken...OK, that was evil!

WWJD??? Doubt he'd insult his neighbour by calling her fat... Just proves the point that most people who go to church, have a good reason to do so! It doesn't make you sound like a very nice Christian you know.

OOooo-Better watch the fat comments. Could make for an interesting couple years though with the munchkins running around. Maybe their baby will come home from your house one day and say Grace at dinner!!! Imagine the look on their faces!!! Oh and with regards to "Anonymous"'s comment--good people go to church too and I believe you are one of the good people

Ray - I might do that. Could be funny. Maybe I'll put it in the bushes. Can't wait until Christmas time!

Amanda- I just know. The former neighbor found out for me, I'm taking his word on it for now.

Scrappy Gal - maybe the next time I meet him. Just didn't know if it would be right on the first visit.

Mojo, I'm not sure of HER belief. Right now I'm going to let myself believe she is a Christian being held back.

Anonymous- I think everyone has good reason to go to church.

Tammy - Thanks.

I'm keeping my name anonymouse because I don't want to be judged. I was very offended by this post, not because I am an Atheist, but because you were very rude and proud of it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but judging someone else due to their religious beliefs (especially when you're not even sure if it is the truth) isn't very "love thy neighbor" like. Yes, he may be an Atheist, but he may have gone through some very hard times in his life that lead him to lose his faith in God. That would mean he was weak, but not everyone can be strong and emotionally stable. You, being the God loving Christian, should recognize this weakness. Befriend him with good intentions. Maybe God has put him next door to you so you could enlighten him. If you choose otherwise, you have lost a chance to help someone find their path to God.
